About Me

My name is Tamara Snyder, and I’m a vice president with Edelman’s Employee Engagement Practice. Our team helps organizations accelerate business performance, delivered by highly engaged and trusted employees.

One of the things I particularly like about my job is that it’s fairly unique: There aren’t that many internal communication specialists out there working on the agency side. People in our field are typically in-house; indeed, I was before joining Edelman. I’ve gotten to experience that special type of excitement that only comes from working at a firm; at the same time, I’ve been fortunate enough to work within some of the world’s largest companies in just about every industry.

My engagements span every aspect of the employee experience: from event-based communication planning (think mergers and acquisitions, leadership transitions, strategy implementations) to ambassador programs, internal social media and leadership training.

My clients and I have earned a variety of awards for our work, including a Top 10 designation in Nielsen Norman Group’s Intranet Design Annual and a Gold Quill Award of Excellence from IABC, both in 2012.

Before I joined Edelman, I was an in-house communicator at Whirlpool Corporation. Prior to that, I was a reporter at the Herald-Palladium newspaper in my hometown of St. Joseph, MI. I now call Chicago home. Go Cubs Go!
